Two weekends ago, on yet another trip to Port Angeles, Meagan and I headed to the Pacific coast at Rialto Beach. I was excited since it was the first time since I moved to Seattle eight years ago that I finally visited the Washington coast.

Today, we took Sadie to the off leash dog park in Magnuson Park. Lots of happy canines.

Last weekend, when visiting Meagan in Port Angeles, we took the ferry up to Victoria. It was a beautiful day, the weekend before Canada Day, and there was a Tall Ships Festival going on. Here are some pictures from the day.

On the way out to Port Angeles to see Meagan a few weekends ago, I pulled over a few times to take some dusk and sunset photos, mostly to demo the new tripod. Nothing spectacular, but some decent ones.

I broke down and got the Nikkor 70-200 f/2.8 lens for our upcoming trip to Africa. Dinner last week: Ball Park Frank with caramelized onion, ketchup, and Dijon mustard served with an organic mixed greens, strawberry, and lavender goat cheese salad, accompanied by a Cabernet Franc rosé. Comfort food, summer styled, with a twist.
